Program and Registration

Join curator, cultural strategist and author of the catalogue essay for Bill Viola: The Space of Time Valentino Catricalà for a conversation exploring the relationship between technology and contemporary art. Drawing on Bill Viola’s pioneering use of video as an artistic medium, Catricalà will discuss how technological innovation shaped the artist’s practice and transformed the possibilities of moving-image art.

The talk will also offer insights into Catricalà’s own curatorial work at the intersection of art, science, and emerging technologies. Reflecting on projects ranging from an exhibition on inflatable art he curated at the Grand Palais in Paris to his current work on a major new cultural initiative for the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, he will share perspectives on building new institutions and navigating the rapidly evolving relationship between art and technology today.

The event will take place in English, with simultaneous translation into Kazakh and Russian.
