An Evening of Chamber Piano Music
Nurgul Nussipzhanova is an internationally acclaimed pianist and laureate of numerous international competitions. A graduate of the Kulyash Baiseitova Specialised Music School and the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, she was awarded First Prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Paris in 2013. Her career has taken her to some of the world's leading concert venues across Europe and the United States, including Carnegie Hall.
The evening's programme presents a deeply personal selection curated by the pianist herself. Bringing together works by contemporary and late Kazakh composers alongside music by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Maurice Ravel and Nikolai Kapustin, it traverses contrasting musical landscapes, eras and aesthetic traditions. Diverse in language, character and expressive vocabulary, each work occupies a distinctive place within Nussipzhanova's artistic imagination.
Set within the intimacy of a chamber setting, the programme invites listeners into a space of close attention and quiet exchange, where music unfolds through a thoughtful dialogue between performer and audience.
