How has the dombra changed over the years? Is it true that today’s dombras are made according to standards different from those of the past? And if the instrument changes, does the very nature of the küy change as well?

About the guests:

Zholaushi Turdugulov: Master craftsman, educator, professor, and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Winner of the "Ükili Dombra" (1996) and "Dana Qobyz" (2006) national competitions. Multiple-time winner of the "Sheber" award and "Artisan of the Year" (India, 2020). Member of the Union of Artisans, the Union of Musical Instrument Makers, and the Union of Artists.

Ilyas Tursynbek: Küyshi, laureate of international and national competitions, Master of Arts from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.

Annas Bagdat: Dramatist, producer, author of the "Shezhireli Qulaq Küy" project, and head of the ArtKӧshe independent theater.
