Artist Spotlight: Aisha Galymbayeva

The Almaty Museum of Arts dedicates a day every two months to an artist from its collection. Discussions, guided tours, film screenings, and workshops provide a deeper look into the artist’s world and creative legacy.

The first artist featured in this series of events will be Aisha Galimbayeva, a pioneer of Kazakh visual art. Her paintings, depicting village life, industrial landscapes, and expressive female portraits, explore themes of everyday life and reflect the changing role of women in society.
